Hermione Hits the Honky-Tonk

Emma Watson spotted on Dallas dance floor

Emma Watson, she of “Harry Potter” fame, last week visited Dallas for some reason and delved into a little cultural stereotype.

A couple of photos posted recently to celebrity fan-zone website TMZ.com under the banner heading “Exclusive” show the actor who portrays Hermione working a line dance at an unidentified “honky-tonk” — because as everyone on the East or West coast knows, any Dallas nightlife establishment in which patrons engage in line dances set to country-and-western music, which is a contradiction of terms, must be a honky-tonk.

UPDATE: Several NBCDFW Twitter followers report Watson was boot-scooting at The Round-Up.

According to the brief, very brief, write-up, she failed to conjure up any real dance-floor magic. The posting includes the sentence, “You can’t be good at everything.”

Wonder how she did at mechanical bull riding.

The guy to Watson’s left in one of the two photos sincerely looks like he knows his way around a line dance and, judging by the look on his face, he gets a little too serious about it.

So, hey, Emma, welcome to Dallas. Hope you enjoyed the cattle roundup, too.
