DYERSVILLE, IA - AUGUST 25: A "ghost player" recreating the role of Chicago White Sox legend Shoeless Joe Jackson plays ball with a young tourist at the baseball field created for the motion picture 'Field of Dreams' on August 25, 1991 in Dyersville, Iowa. Rita and Al Ameskamp who, with Don and Becky Lansing, co-own the site have turned the cornfields and baseball diamond into a summertime tourist attraction, including "ghost player" reenactments. Want to have a catch with your old man on a professional baseball field without driving to Dyersville, Iowa?
The Cats have even more in store for fans over the busy holiday weekend.
On Friday, Texas country music star Aaron Watson will throw out the first pitch and sign a few autographs before heading over to Billy Bob's for his evening concert. Then, LaGrave will be transformed into "jolly ol'England" for the evening game against the Pelicans as part of the club's British Invasion night. We're not sure what that means, but we're guessing it's OK to wear a Union Jack T-shirt to the game instead of the normal Cats apparel.
On Saturday, win or lose, the Cats will end the night with a fireworks show.
Tickets are still available for all days. Friday and Saturday night's games are at 7:05 and Sunday's game is at 2:05. Get more information at www.fwcats.com.
