Commentary

Dust off your cowboy boots and get ready for a Who’s Who of country music to perform this Sunday.

The gates for the Stockyard Music Festival open at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 2, and will host legendary artists like Pat Green, Merle Haggard and yes—though we usually never call him by his name—David Allan Coe. And of course, concluding the day of country music fanfare will be Hank Williams, Jr.

The entertainment will be in the legendary North Forty Field, adjacent to Billy Bob’s, on two stages. There will be cool zones, VIP tents, and a skybox area. Guests will also have access to Billy Bob’s Texas.

Tickets are $35 in advance, or $45 the day-of, and can be purchased via the festival’s website and at the Box Office on Sunday. You can also check out their website for the full line-up and specific times for each artist.
