Kanye West and Lady Gaga Tour Canceled

Kanye West and Lady Gaga, "Fame Kills," until 1/24/10: Despite Kanye's insistence that he really needs to take a break (one of his excuses for his interruption of Taylor Swift's VMA acceptance speech), the rapper/mogul announced he'll be touring with fashionista and attention-seeker Lady Gaga.

Kanye West and Lady Gaga's highly anticipated tour, which was scheduled to hit the American Airlines Center on January 24, 2010, is over before it even began.

According to the Live Nation website, all performances of the "Fame Kills" tour have been canceled. No reason for the cancellation has been given.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that West was the one who pulled the plug. However, several blogs suggested Lady Gaga was the one who decided to cancel.

Friday, Lady Gaga told Billboard.com the decision was mutual, and that she'll be headlining her own tour soon, while West takes some time off. Gaga's choreographer reportedly Twittered that "creative differences" between Gaga and West is the reason the tour never got off the ground.

The tour cancellation comes after West's now-infamous VMA move interrupting Taylor Swift. The day after the VMA's, West appeared on "Leno" where he was brought to tears discussing what his late mother would think of his recent actions

Borrowing a line from Jamie Foxx, it seems West might be able to "blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol" or more specifically he might be able to "blame it on the Henny." MSNBC reported earlier this week that West was caught on video drinking cognac straight from the bottle before the Swift incident. The photo above shows West with a half empty bottle of Hennessy Cognac while talking to Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz prior to everyone taking their seats at the Radio City Music Hall event.

In a news release, Live Nation announced refunds are available at the point of purchase. Tickets purchased online and via phone will be refunded automatically.
