Biscuits and gravy, mmm, come to the rescue of healthy mammories, mmmm, today and this evening at Norma’s Café locations in Oak Cliff, the original, and at the recently opened North Dallas diner.

The esteemed purveyor of Texas-style comfort food serves up its Biscuits for Boobies fundraiser until 8 p.m., Sept. 15, wherein 10 percent of proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation 3-Day for the Cure 60-mile walk.

So, it’s easy, benefactors don’t have to get out there and do anything physically exerting to pitch in, just eat, and you gotta eat.

According to the official press release, patrons simply order “fresh biscuits and creamy gravy, or their favorite comfort food” — which pretty much covers the entire Norma’s menu — to support Team Tough Ta-Ta.

Hmm, seems like that should be plural.

Anyway, Norma’s management set the goal for today’s effort at $51,000.

That might sound like a lot of biscuits and gravy but c’mon, it’s for the boobs, man.
