A traveling exhibit of ancient Egyptian artifacts will spend the summer on display at a Central Texas museum.

"Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science," will open Saturday at the Mayborn Museum in Waco and remain on display through Sept. 5.

The Center of Science and Industry in Columbus, Ohio, created the exhibit. The Waco Tribune-Herald reports the exhibit illustrates how archaeologists use science to assemble a mosaic of daily life in ancient Egypt.

The exhibit will also contain interactive features that allow visitors to participate in such activities as building a pyramid and reassembling small vessels from shards.
