Daniel Tosh is the new king of comedy.

STAND-UP INTERNET JUNKIE: YouTube allows anybody to upload crap – its Daniel Tosh’s job to find that crap and make fun of it – for all the world to see. Nothing is off limits to the cardigan-wearing comic on his Comedy Central show Tosh.0, but there is only so much he can say in front of a camera without getting bleeped to death. So, he’s hitting the road with his act. The “Tosh Tour Twenty Ten” arrives in Dallas for two shows at the Majestic Theater at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Catch Tosh.0 live while you can before he retires – the Comedy Central comic plans to end his repetitive “Groundhog Days” on stage when he turns 38 in 2013 (he even has the countdown clock on his website to prove it).

COOL THURSDAYS IN THE GARDEN: The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden provides a treat for guests every Thursday with special fall concerts in the garden. This “Cool Thursday” the Arboretum features the band Dallas Unlimited performing the biggest hits of the decade. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and doesn’t end until 9 p.m. Bring the whole family for an evening full of exploration at the Dallas Arboretum ending with a front-row seat to an outdoor performance.

MOVE YOUR FEET TO THE FUNKY BEAT: Blending hip hop, reggae, jazz, rock, and even a bit of funk, Michael Franti and Spearhead have an eclectic sound. Franti is a barefoot walking California native with a passionate heart devoted to peace issues. He’s been creating music with Spearhead since ’94 and visits Dallas tonight performing songs from the current album “The Sound of Sunshine.”  Michael Franti and Spearhead will be at the House of Blues Dallas at 8 p.m.
