Enjoy colorful culture and fun at the 49th National Championship Indian Pow Wow.

The 49th National Championship Indian Pow Wow is worth a drive to Traders Village in Grand Prairie this weekend.

Sponsored by the Dallas/Fort Worth Inter-Tribal Association, the two-and a-half day event is free to the public.

Several hundred Native Americans, representing dozens of tribes from across the United States, will take part in this colorful celebration of culture and heritage.

The three day festival features authentic American Indian heritage demonstrations, teepees, food and entertainment from dancers dressed in traditional garb.

It's a family event, so pack up the kids and have fun. If anything else, you may walk away with a microwave, puppy or gently used Air Jordans since Traders Village vendors will be selling their wares on site.
