3/8: Wine, Women, and Song

NEUTRON DANCE: We had pretty much forgotten The Pointer Sisters until Family Guy reminded us about the "Neutron Dance." Then we saw Beverly Hills Cop again and realized that we needed to take another listen to the group's catalog. For a "Jump"-start on your '80s memories, light a "Fire" under your tush and head to the Winspear tonight at 8 p.m.

LOVE IS HERE TO STAY: Loni Love has made us laugh through the unnecessary "sequels" to VH1's I Love the '80s, '90s, '70s, ad infinitum. So we're intrigued to hear her solo set at UTA's Rosebud Theatre tonight at 7:30 p.m. Maybe we'll have the "Best Week Ever" after seeing her show.

#FLIGHT: Here's an event wine lovers and Twitter addicts can both enjoy. Cru wine bar in the West Village is having a Tweetup wine tasting today at 5 p.m. Word of caution, if you take off early to get to the first flight, make sure your boss isn't following your Tweets -- "lol, took off early for some #stsupery tweetup action. dumb boss!" doesn't look good on a HR pink slip. (Side note, we've got a Twitter, too. @dfwaroundtown for the latest updates...)
