3/22: Ride the Magic

ONE-STOP CRAWL: Alright, we were mistaken. There are a few more vans full of touring artists we just got our ears on headed to Poor David's Pub for another bash under the festival season umbrella. Brazillian pop punkers Canja Rave strip garage to its bones and Houston's Runaway Sun staggers into classic rock territory, with Sparrow Bellows, SUNS, and Ty Hall joining up at the Post SXSW Mini-Festival. 7:30PM.

HOMEWORK: Spring Break continues under a psuedo-art-educational premise at Mellow Mushroom. Each week, a warm-up model, a mainstage model, art supplies from Asel Art Supply and prizes appear at the Drink and Draw live art class Mondays at the Fort Worth location of the pizza shop. Pencils out at 6PM.

PONY UP: Australian indie-pop-punk duo An Horse boasts lovable melodies and spunky simplicity that gives lovers of the Indigo Girls something to cut their teeth on (and loads of reasons beyond the sheer linguistic beauty of the name to bring the band into conversation.) Catch them at Rubber Gloves with On After Dark and Big Science. Or, watch the band rock Letterman with "Camp Out" in the video below and be dared not to sing along at the second chorus. $10. 9PM.
