CATCH A BALLIN' STAR: Dallas is already on thin ice with NBA's All Star Weekend as Hollywood, hip-hop and a hefty crowd headed to Sunday's game descend on the city. The weekend proper begins with Shaq's All Star Comedy Jam at Nokia Live, as Mo'Nique, George Wilborn and others get the party started. Tickets start at $59.50. 8PM.

MAGNIFIQUE: The magic makers of Nouvelle Vague tinker with snotty, androgenous tunes like Generation X's "Dancing With Myself," turning punk and new wave hits into sultry  bossa nova songs. The French band is scheduled at the Granada with Chameleon Chamber Group and Shock of Pleasure; tickets start at $18 and can be found here. 8PM.

THE ULTIMATE PAIR: Texas Ballet Theater had us at the Tina Turner bit. We always love artistic director Ben Stevenson's adaptations, and the uber-classic Romeo and Juliet is at Bass Hall just in time for a last-minute, no-fail Valentine's date. 8PM.
