    LEAPING LIZARDS: If you’re scratching your head wondering what’s up with the egg on all the Cirque Du Soleil posters – you can certainly find out tonight as OVO hits the Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco. The insect-themed acrobatic sensation centers on the appearance of a mysterious egg in the land of all things creepy, crawly.  The color, the movement, the energy – it’s enough to make you resist blinking. Experience Cirque Du Soleil – OVO tonight at 8 p.m. under the big top. Tickets start at $49. With nine new shows added, you can now be a part of the excitement anytime until Feb. 27.     GETTIN’ ZESTY WITH IT: North Texas will feature some fiery flavor this weekend as ZestFest 2011 rolls into the Irving Convention Center. Hosted by Chile Pepper Magazine, the three-day long celebration of all things hot and spicy invites the Metroplex to nosh on zesty dishes created by celebrity chefs, enjoy live music entertainment, enter a fiery food challenge and of course, have fun. You may even see some NBC5 regulars scoping the pepper scene (since we are co-sponsors).The sizzling weekend begins Friday at 11 a.m. and lasts through Sunday.     SPAZMATICS: The 80’s are back in fashion from leggings to fishnets, so why not go for the whole flashback with a Spazmatics experience. The geek chic band doning “Revenge of the Nerds” attire are known for performing 80’s classics like Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin.” Adding their own twist to the current pop crazed music scene, the Spazmatics  are spaztastically original. Hear them tonight at The Loft in The Gilley’s Complex at 10 p.m. Tickets are $15.

    And, in case you missed it the first time around on Halloween, the Lakewood Theater and Amber Does Dallas are serving up another double feature of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and REPO! The Genetic Opera. Catch one of the two shows tonight beginning at 9 p.m.
