12/21: Artistic Expression

Tenors, Artists and Jazz

SINGING FROM THE LAND OF “EH?”: The Canadian Tenors, known for hitting high notes with contemporary pop tunes and providing a few laughs, will make a grand appearance in Fort Worth tonight, just in time to belt out a few holiday classics. Hear the vocal quartet starring Victor Micallef, Clifton Murray, Remigio Pereira and Fraser Walters accompanied by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra give the gift of song this Christmas.  The show starts at 8 p.m. at the Bass Performance Hall. Tickets start at $30.

SOCIAL ART SCENE: A night of art, fashion and music are taking over One Arts Plaza in Dallas. At 6 p.m., venues Jorge’s and Fedora will host Art Official Step into the Arts coordinated by 3FOUR1. The two restaurants will be invaded by talented designers and artists making for one creative evening of high-brow chit chat. Immerse yourself in the world of artistic expression while sipping on cocktails and nibbling on complimentary appetizers. The socializing begins at 6 p.m.

JUST JAZZ: This time of year brings out the musician in all of us – we all become Bing Crosby, only less smooth. Tonight, the Rebel Alliance Jazz Ensemble has perfected the whole Christmas cool attitude and will perform Christmas tunes at the Pearl at Commerce. The 17-piece band is prepared to knock your socks off by hitting all the saxophone high notes.  Enjoy a few cocktails while the band serenades from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. It’s free to enter.
