12/2: Snow Daze

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, complete with falling flakes

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, complete with falling flakes.

SAMMY, DEANO, AND OLD BLUE EYES: For folks suffering from Mad Men withdrawl, the 1960's setting in Christmas with the Rat Pack, should help ease the addiction. The show uses the Sands Hotel in Vegas as the backdrop for the hijinks of Frank, Sammy, and Dean while also featuring some of their classic takes on holiday tunes. 8 p.m. at the Majestic Theatre.

STATION SHOPPING: Mockingbird Station has been offering a discount when shoppers mention "Get Gifted" or "Deals and Discounts" (our favorite words!) at retailers like Movida, Paperie & Co., Bittano and West Elm. Oh, and they'll park your car for free -- we still suggest riding the DART, though. 5 to 9 p.m.

TRADIONAL SCROOGE: Sure Jim Carrey's version might have the technical wizardry to make animation jump out at you in the third dimension, but why don't you skip the faux 3D and head to the real thing? The Dallas Theater Center's traditional performance of "A Christmas Carol" has just opened up at the Kalita Humphreys Theater in Dallas and brings the classic tale of Scrooge and Tiny Tim back with traditional and original songs of the season. 7 p.m.
