12/18: Crowns of Glory

GOOD FORTUNE: Sarah Jaffe just signed with Kirtland Records (DC9 At Night), Robert Gomez was appointed to the Denton Historic Landmark Commission (Pegasus News) and a freelance journalist working on a piece about Midlake for NPR saw Matthew Gray at a house show last week. See this magnetic triumvirate of top-tier songwriters in the basement of JJs Pizza. 9PM.

FLOURESCENT INSULATION: Skip the toboggan and the mistle-toe headband and go with the day-glo synthetic hair tonight at Double Wide as Elm St. Tattoo throws a Pre Xmas Wig Party. Cash is promised to the best wig outfit, so the winner can buy more wigs they will obviously have a chance to wear again. 10PM.

CAROL KIDS: If you haven't seen A Christmas Carol yet this year, Kids Who Care's production at the W.E. Scott Theatre is the way to go. It's a musical version that extracts the most joyful part of the story: the children who are eternally content with the past, present and future. The morning show is sold out, but you can find tickets to the 7:30PM show here.
