12/14: Pop Youngsters and Hip Old-Timers

POP PUNK EXPLOSION:  Disney certainly knows how to market talent fresh out of diapers – case in point, Allstar Weekend. The California-based pop band garnered a following on the mouse house network and just released their debut album on Oct. 19 of this year. Tonight, the boy band will play The Door in Dallas with fellow teen hitmakers Stephen Jerzak and The Scene Aesthetic. Tickets are $13 online, $15 at the door. Get there early, the concert starts at 5 p.m. – it’s a school night.

DOUBLE WIDE SURPRISE: Sport your best Halloween-inspired Christmas get-up at the Double Wide in Dallas. The flashy Elm Street Tattoo Christmas Wig Party is going down tonight. You’ll just have to attend to fully understand the festival headline. The evening of costumed Christmas fun will feature Geezer, Sabatour and Good Luck Karaoke beginning at 10 p.m. Purchase advance tickets here or pay $5 at the door.

THE BOYS ARE BACK FOR CHRISTMAS: The Eisemann Center in Richardson presents The Oak Ridge Boys’ Christmas tour at Hill Performance Hall. Hear holiday melodies by a country/gospel/pop quartet with musical staying power – they’ve been in the music game since the β€˜40s and continue to evolve with the times. Enjoy a two-hour holiday treat for the whole family complete stage snow and a special appearance by Mr. Claus. Show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are between $30 and $55.
