1/19: Wine and Dine Wednesday

Improv, Argentinian Wine Tasting and Crooner Cocktails

JUST GO WITH IT: Get your improv on tonight at the Dallas Comedy House in Deep Ellum. The laugh haven welcomes all newcomers and anyone interested in flexing their impromptu comedy skills on the stage. Watch as some of DCH’s improv students entertain or you can try your hand at improv. Stop by for a laugh, stay for a drink, get into the improv groove and do it all again next week. The free improv jam session happens every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.

WINE AND CHEESE: Tour the vineyards of Argentina or at least let your taste buds do the traveling for a wine and cheese class at Whole Foods Market in Richardson. Tonight, Bruno Alonso, from Domino del Plata winery in Mendoza, Argentina, will guide guests through a bit of wine sampling and talk about why vino from Argentina is so delicious. Guests will also learn how to pair the right cheese with each bottle of wine. The class starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.

CROONER COCKTAILS: Enjoy the sounds of Sinatra while you dip your spoon into a Banana Split a la Sinatra at Sfuzzi in Uptown Dallas. The Oak Lawn New York-style eatery adds a twist to their humpday Wednesday happy hours with a Rat Pack theme. Don a sleek fedora, shine those penny loafers and listen to the sounds of Sinatra, Martin, Davis and his crew while dining on a special Sinatra inspired menu. The cocktails start flowing at 6 p.m.
