11/24: Turkey Jams

ALL STARS: The dusty sounds of Lyle Lovett belong in Fort Worth, perhaps as much as cows and Tim Love. See Lovett perform songs from his newest record, Natural Forces, with his Large Band at Bass Hall. 8PM. Find tickets here.

SO TONY: Raphael Saadiq beat his former cohorts of Tony! Toni! Toné! to a comeback with his first solo album in 1995. His songs still swing with a flavor that transcends decades, like the knockout R&B wedding band that has everyone scratching their heads and then dancing with abandon. See him at House of Blues with Anjulie. 8:30PM. Find tickets here.

ART PARTY: Rubber Gloves' monthly BS Art Fusion experiment slides to Tuesday this week, but not out of the shadow of Thanksgiving. Tonight's collaboration, sort of like musical chairs but with artists rotating from canvas to canvas, is billed as Tha Turkey Day Edition and nothing else. There has been free food at these jams in the past. Just sayin'. Free for over 21, $2 for under. 9PM.
