11/23: Going Places

CASE CLOSED: You might've heard her on the radio. The new KXT 91.7, that is. Neko Case's show at the Granada marks a breed of experience that didn't exist in DFW before the station launched this month: hearing an indie-but-timeless artist on a major radio station in your city on its normal rotation, and then flocking to a local venue to hear them live. See the fire-crowned chanteuse with Oh No! Oh My! at 8PM. Tickets here.

SUNNY SOMEWHERE: Who needs a fireplace when you've got Dan's Silverleaf in the neighborhood? Get cozy with the bar crowd before the nights get too chilly, as Mi Son, Mi Son, Mi Son, master of the Latin tropics, has taken over on Mondays and there's no better place to pretend you're on a boat with your friends. Free, 10PM.

LATE TRAIN: It's too dark for the playground, and the little 'uns aren't hungry for supper yet. Loosen your grip on those chunks of your own hair and remember the nighttime wonder this season affords: The Trains at NorthPark! Marvel at the cross-country 'O' gauge model setup and help fund the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas in the process. $6 for adults; $3 for kids and seniors. Kids under 2 get in free. Runs until 9PM.
