11/21-22: Holiday Spirited

BAD DAD: Bob Saget defied his Full House typecasting long before little Michelle Sqaured was in the tabloids. But even if you're an Entourage fan, it's still hard to let go of the kind-faced dad going it alone in that idyllic neighborhood. Danny Tanner's neighbors would have taken issue with Bob Saget's raucous stand-up, and that fact makes it all the more fun to see his set at House of Blues with Ryan Stout. Saturday, 8PM. CRAFTY CHRISTMAS: Etsy Dallas parks it at Sons of Hermann Hall with a refreshing shopping experience known as the Jingle Bash. Over 50 artists and designers sell handmade wares -- from gift tags to hand-knitted scarves to quirky desk toppers for your officemates -- as music, food, and a full bar handle holiday spirit duty. The sellers are crafty, but hey, so are you for buying one-of-a-kind gifts so early and so painlessly! Saturday, 1PM-7PM.

SANTA ON STRINGS: There's nothing quite like turning off the TV and sitting in close for an old-school puppet show. Or, at least, we faintly remember it being really special. If your kids are too small to sit through a staging of The Nutcracker but old enough to appreciate a little holiday theater magic, try Dallas Children's Theatre's production of Santa's Holiday for Strings by the Kathy Burks Theatre of Puppetry Arts. Sunday, 1:30PM and 4:30PM. Find tickets here.
