SLEEPERSTAR BENEFIT: It’s already shaping up to be a booked year for Sleeperstar. Fresh from playing the Big D NYE bash at Victory Park and after having their single “I Was Wrong” featured on the CW hit, “The Vampire Diaries,” the Dallas natives are quickly becoming a household name. Tonight, the band lends a helping hand at the House of Blues, performing tunes from their new album on iTunes “Just Another Ghost,” in a concert to benefit Central and North Texas AIDS services. The show starts at 8 p.m. in the Cambridge Room and tickets are a suggested donation of $10. Doors open at 7 p.m.
ROCK N TACO BATTLE: It’s $2 Tuesday at the Rock N Taco in Uptown Dallas and a showdown between two DJs. Enjoy $2 shots, frozen margaritas, tacos and domestics from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., while DJ Joe Vega and DJ Sno White battle it out on the turntables. Dine on tasty tacos, while dancing to the sounds of a DJ duel all night long.
YOGA NATION: The Cosmic Café hosts an array of yoga sessions throughout the week. Tonight, the funky Oak Lawn restaurant features an evening of “Whirling Meditation” for an hour. Throw on some hot yoga pants for an active evening meditating and practicing basic yoga moves beginning at 6:15 p.m. Click here for a list of daily Cosmic events.
