After 25 years in the family business, Sonny Bryan opened his first barbecue restaurant in 1935. Now it's a Dallas institution, serving up hickory-smoked brisket, meaty ribs and juicy "handmade" onion rings. Even on a 100-degree day, folks line up for some tasty BBQ because Sonny's is only open until the food runs out. Over the years, Sonny's has been featured on numerous "Best BBQ" lists across the country.
