Established in 1985, Jakes Old Fashioned Hamburgers started in Uptown Dallas. The simple cheeseburger features two thin patties of beef and two slices of melted cheese on a poppy seed bun. Also known for its fries, Jakes has been named the "Best Burger in Dallas" by the Dallas Observer and Citysearch. With three Dallas County locations and one in Collin County, Tarrant County is about to get in on the burger action with a Jakes in downtown Fort Worth soon.
