Fernie's funnel cakes have been a staple of the state fair since the Erpillo family introduced the fried favorite to the fair in the early 80's. Push unleavened batter through a funnel into the fryer, but add some powdered sugar and you have a state fair favorite. Add some fruit and a dollop of whipped cream and you have sweet perfection.
