Established in 1907, the Brenham Creamery Company started out making butter, then started making ice cream, and in 1930 Blue Bell Creameries, named after the Texas wildflower, was born. Although Blue Bell is only available in 20 percent of the nation's supermarkets it's ranked as one of the top three best selling ice creams in the nation. Blue Bell offers nearly 30 regular flavors, depending on the time of year, and says it's "the best ice cream in the country."
