Some say they're cool, others say they're geeky -- no matter what your opinion, personalized license plates are about to get flashier.
"I love the purple, I love how it rides for a woman, the heritage springer rides really well," said Jennifer Rice of Fort Worth.
On the road, Rice turns heads, but it's more than just sheer beauty -- it's also her license plate that is on the list of most wanted vanity plates
"I'm surprised they had 00HOG first of all," said Rice.
Rice went online and where the Texas Department of Transportation is allowing colorful custom plates that benefit the state's general revenue fund.
Drivers can design their own plates and ride with pride.
Tarrant County Tax Assessor-Collector Betsy Price, said Dallas-Fort Worth folks have been the most receptive and creative.
There are boundaries however.
"You cannot have off-color. The closest thing they've come to off-color is a plate that says TOPLESS and it happens to be on a mercedes convertible," said Price.
The custom plates start at $90 and can go up to $900.
