Before taking the field against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday, Texas Rangers catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia took part in a charity ball drop in Arlington benefiting Star Children's Charity.
Salty joined attendees as hundreds of golf balls were dropped from a helicopter onto a target on the ground.
The owner of the ball that lands closest to the pin won four tickets to a Rangers game and a meet and greet with Salty during batting practice.
While waiting for the big event, attendees were also able to take part in putting contests to win prizes.
