A Fort Worth Senior put his heart on the line as he popped the big high school question: "Will you go to prom with me?" on his school's marquee.
A Fort Worth senior put his heart in the sky as he popped the big (high school) question: "Will you go to prom with me?"
With the help of school administrators, the message was posted on the marquee outside South Hills High School Friday morning.
Adrian Pecina said the idea just came to him one day.
"It was a random thought in my head," he said. "I would like, drive by and look at it like, 'You know, that wouldn't be a bad idea.'"
Pecina said after he escorted Amarilis Sigala outside during their lunch period she freaked out.
"I was hoping she wouldn't run," he said. "But she was just happy."
Although Sigala was shocked, her answer made Pecina's effort worthwhile.
"Oh, my gosh that's sweet -- yes," she said. "I never thought this would happen like this."
The South Hills High School prom is Friday, May 22.
Sigala said she already has a dress.
