Pugs and Kelly Have Been De-Boned

Afternoon drive jocks Pugs and Kelly have left the DFW airwaves for the second time in a year.

This time, they've been De-Boned from 93.3 FM's afternoon drive-time slot. Listeners heard nothing but tunes Friday afternoon, instead of the normal talk banter, leading Robert Philpot to go on a little fact finding mission.

True to form, when talent isn't on the air and no longer on the station's official Web site, you know something's going on.

Philpot got confirmation of the duo's dismissal from Cumulus VP Dan Bennett, with a message saying nothing more than, "Yep, they're gone. Now here's more music."

This is the second time they've gone silent. The pair left Live 105.3 in July of 2008, far before the Russ Martin dropping, format changing turbulance of Live 105.3's switch to The Fan.
