Experts say the cold-blooded reptiles go into a deep sleep when the temperature falls into the 40s. Their bodies basically shut off and they lose their grip on the tree.

The world-renowned Fort Worth Zoo is getting ready to unveil its newest addition: the Museum of Living Art, otherwise known as MOLA.

MOLA, arguably the best reptile collection in the United States, will be home to more than 300 species of reptiles and amphibians.  Those include a colossal salt water crocodile, slithering king cobra and distinctive Panamanian golden frogs.

MOLA will also include mammals and birds from the scarlet ibis to golden lion tamarins in the outdoor "Living Jungle" experience.

Children and adults will be able to get nose-to-nose with animals, snakes and insects of all types.

MOLA is on schedule and set to open this spring.
