Nolan Ryan's stats make him a legendary baseball player, but his position with the Texas Rangers easily keeps him in the game.

Ryan's last milestones were in Rangers blue and reds -- he even wore a Texas cap to be inducted in the Hall of Fame -- so it's not a surprised his "retirement" job would eventually be with Arlington's ballclub. Ryan took over as president of the Rangers in 2008 and has helped turn around the club into one of the AL West's leaders.

While we continue to look with interest at how the Rangers grow under Ryan's rule, we wonder if his title might soon change to president and owner. With Tom Hicks' cash issues and need to sell off shares in the franchise, Ryan may buy in -- though, he insists, no ownership change will happen until the off-season.
