Every other name on our list has one thing in common, they're alive. But for some reason, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barlow won't seem to stay buried in North Texas lore.

Every other name on our list has one thing in common, they're alive. But for some reason, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barlow won't seem to stay buried in North Texas lore.

It seems just about every year, some event inspires yet another recollection of the stories of Bonnie and Clyde's exploits in the DFW area. Last year, it was a revival of the Bonnie and Clyde musical -- next year, it might be a new film version of the stories featuring Hillary Duff. When Michael Mann's "Public Enemies" released just weeks ago,few could resist comparing it to 1967's "Bonnie and Clyde" -- renewing interest in the couple once again. This cycle continues year after year as a new anniversary, recollection of a brush with the duo, or new book recounting the details become available.

The story has been retold so many times that it's hard to remember these were murders and thieves, not romantics gone wrong. Time, and some kind of strange nostalgia, has made them something between hero and villain. Even though they're buried in Dallas, it seems their spirits live on...and on...and on...and on...
