The Golden Local debate over the Best Honky Tonk has come to an end with Billy Bob's Texas winning with a resounding 84 percent of the votes on line.

Around Town correspondent Annie Potasznik presented the winner's certificate to Pam Minick at Billy Bob's Friday afternoon.

Minick thanked Billy Bob's loyal customers from the Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding areas.

"We're so excited... to all the viewers out there and all the fans of BIlly Bob's, thanks for voting, thanks for making Billy Bob's No. 1 Best Honky Tonk,"  Minick said. "This Golden Local whole project has been fun to watch throughout the summer."

More than 1200 people voted for Billy Bob's and more than 200 left comments on the Golden Local winner.

"The World's Largest Honky Tonk" is a 127,000-square-foot country and western club located in the famous Fort Worth Stockyards.

Billy Bob's features concerts and live entertainment nightly as well as several dance floors, 20 bars, several stages, and a small indoor rodeo arena with weekend bull riding events.

BBT also features a Celebrity Wall with concrete handprint impressions of the biggest stars that graced the stages, including Garth Brooks, Pat Green, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.
