When students with special needs ages out of the public school system, usually at age 22, their parents often don't have anywhere to send them during the day.

That's the reason three Collin County mothers started My Possibilities.  It's an all-day learning center that teaches socialization, health and wellness, independent living and pre-vocational skills.

The goal is simple.

"Ultimately, we want these people to work and be able to be independent outside of their parents," said founder Charmaine Solomon.

My Possibilities is a non-profit, but it is not free.  Clients pay about $900 a month, but it costs about $1,500 per person to operate.

The facility relies on donations from the community to make up the difference.
