Susy Solis joined NBC 5 in October 2007 from KTSM, El Paso, where she was a morning anchor and reporter.

But before making the transition to television, most of El Paso knew Susy as the co-host of "Mike and Susy in the Morning" on 93.1 KSII FM for almost 3 years. Her career in radio also took her through weekend and overnight shifts at KLAQ and traffic reporting at KLAQ and KROD.

She graduated from the University of Texas El Paso as a Communications major and is a member of the Women's Fund of El Paso, an organization that helps women educate themselves and strive for higher goals.

When Susy is not covering the news, she likes to play softball and soccer, spend time with her husband Nick and dog Bogey, and fulfill her addiction to Sudoku.
