POSITION TITLE: ArtWorks Lead Sr. Designer (COS# 1101295)

General Responsibilities:
NBC Universal's company-wide on-air graphics organization, ArtWorks, is seeking a Lead Sr. Designer for its interactive division. Must have outstanding design and leadership skills and be a STAR performer shouldering many high-profile projects. Must be proactive in isolating operational and technical issues with solutions. Guide and mentor Designers and Sr. Designers on daily assignments and long-term projects. Will work closely with operational and creative management on maintaining established design standards and brands. Build collaborative teams and implement positive customer support. Work closely with Design Mangers to communicate their goals to the team. The ArtWorks Texas team services NBC Universal’s Owned and Operated stations and Telemundo stations, as well as NBC Cable Channels.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience supervising designers
- Minimum 5 years experience in Interactive Design
- Minimum 3 years experience with Adobe Flash

Desired:

- Minimum 3 years of working knowledge XHTML, CSS, AS2, AS3
- Minimum 2 years of working knowledge PHP, Java Script
- Strong communication skills and a dedicated, customer-focused approach to servicing a large, deadline-driven client base
- Must work well in a collaborative, team environment and be able to multi-task
- Experience with video for the web.
- Demonstrate solid creative skills and the ability to take art direction
