NBC 5 is pleased to have reached a new agreement with Mike Snyder to continue anchoring the 5pm and 6pm weekday newscasts. The agreement will allow Mike to work less and have more time to fulfill other opportunities he has wanted to explore.
"Mike is a talented professional with a long record of achievement and outstanding journalism. He will be completing his 30th year with NBC 5 next spring and we look forward to celebrating the occasion" said Tom Ehlmann, President & General Manager of NBC 5.
"It has been my distinct privilege to have anchored the 10pm news with Jane McGarry for the past 19 years. I look forward to continuing that partnership and helping NBC 5 bring the important news of the day during the early evening broadcasts. This new schedule will also allow me, for the first time in my television career, to have dinner with my family, see my daughter's soccer games, attend recitals and join Indian Princesses. I am greatly appreciative of NBC 5 allowing me this opportunity, " says Mike Snyder.
NBC 5/KXAS-TV is the NBC Owned and Operated media center serving the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
