Meredith joined NBC 5 in October of 2003, after four years at WCBD, the NBC affiliate in Charleston, South Carolina where she was the morning anchor and lead investigative reporter.
Land graduated from Clemson University with a major in English and a minor in Journalism.
She has won investigative reporting awards from the Associated Press, RTNDA (Radio-Television News Directors Association), South Carolina Broadcaster's Association. More recently was awarded a STAR award for producing and reporting a 30-minute special from Afghanistan. Land was recently nominated for an Emmy for her Financial Series, "Pay it Off."
She enjoys speaking in schools and at charitable events in the community. She has served on the board of directors for a ballet company and volunteers with the American Red Cross. She is also involved with Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation's Greer Garson event, benefiting Parkinson's Disease programs and the special care nursery.
Land enjoys golfing, skiing and traveling with her husband.
