Born and raised in Arizona, Matt has worked in just about every region in the country -- including Texoma, which he claims helped him understand the deep rivalry between OU and Texas.

Matt is a graduate of Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.

He has received honors from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters for his feature reporting and was the sports anchor for a 2008 Emmy award winning newscast.

Outside of NBC 5, Matt works with two charity groups -- Camp Kemo and Children's Chance.

He also enjoys playing bad Golf, reading about political and entertainment news, and spending time with his fiance Ashley.
