The Best of the 2010 Wideout Senior Class

As part of an ongoing series, here's the Top 2 incoming senior WRs in DFW.

With the third- and fourth-best Class of 2010 receivers named yesterday, let's move to the head of the class and look at the best two receivers in a loaded incoming senior class.

So make that drum roll sound with your mouth, or roll your tongue (I've never been able to do that), either way he goes nothing...

2. Mike Davis, Dallas Skyline - If anyone in this class has his choice of a long list of offers to choose from, it's this guy. Though he recently left Texas' junior day without an offer, he has standing ones from the following schools: Cal, Kansas, LSU, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Stanford, Wisconsin, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. When you look at the kid's size (6 foot 1, 185 pounds), athleticism and numbers he put up last season, it's not hard to see why. Davis was a superstar in a somewhat pedestrian, predominantly running offense. He seriously amped up his numbers from his sophomore year when he caught 58 balls for 1,138 yards and 16 touchdowns while leading Skyline to the 5A state quarterfinals.

1. Darius White, Fort Worth Dunbar - Look no further than White's physical attributes and you'll see why he's one of the top WR recruits in the nation. Try these on for size: 6 foot 4 (check), 205 pounds (check, with about 40 added on), 4.5-second 40-yard dash (um...), and a 40-inch vertical (Right). I knew someone named Adam Boedeker with similar specs before his "Freshman 15". Anyway, Davis obviously has it all, including offers from Florida, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, SMU and TCU, but might be holding out for USC. White has been a star since his sophomore season (745 yards, 11 TDs) but really blew up as a junior when he caught 40 balls for 1,057 yards and 16 TDs in just 11 games.

Adam Boedeker is a sports writer/blogger for the Denton Record-Chronicle. He was a do-it-all 5th grade football phenom, excelling as a "Wildcat Formation" quarterback.
