After losing to the Philadelphia Eagles is Wade Phillips really going to return as Cowboys head coach?

Terrell Owens sent an early morning pep text to Tony Romo to let the Dallas quarterback know he's still behind him. He just won't get the chance to do it again this season.

The mercurial wide receiver said that he's still the same guy who shed tears for Romo after last year's first-round playoff loss. He says he'll do it again after the Cowboys' 44-6 collapse in Philadelphia Sunday.

All the Cowboys needed to do was beat the Eagles to at least salvage a playoff berth in a season stuffed with controversy. But Romo couldn't lead them into the end zone. He was sacked, he fumbled, then he was benched late in the disastrous loss at Lincoln Financial Field.

According to multiple media reports, Romo suffered a rib injury late in the game and collapsed in the shower after. He had to be helped to his feet by teammates. Romo had X-rays and was able to meet with reporters, though he blew off questions about his health.

  • FAN Tuesday, Dec 30 at 3:00 PM FLAG COMMENT How can you lose like the way you lose to the Eagles when you are a team that can win the Super Bowl? In a million year, no one would think this could happen, well it did. The cowboys have the players, everyone get pay well including the coaches, yet because of person politics from the quarter back, the entire organization not only suffer loss, but shame. Why not using the play call that work in the 2007 season which produce a ... MORE >
  • bleedblue&silver Monday, Dec 29 at 10:57 PM FLAG COMMENT Gave my parents two round trip tickets to watch their favorite team. The trip was a disappointment. "We could have put High School football players in Cowboys uniforms and did better against the Eagles they said." I was thinking about buying season tickets or the new stadium but now I'm going to take a vacation and just settle for a tour around the new stadium in Arlington. Season tickets aren't cheap. I'm just going to wait u ... MORE >

  • Mike Monday, Dec 29 at 7:00 PM FLAG COMMENT The Cowboy players and coaches should be forced to watch the replay of 4 quarters of that entire Eagle mess. They would then realize why the fans are extremely upset with the lack of heart the Cowboys showed on Sunday. The Cowboy fans spend their time and hard earn money to attend home games to see that disgraceful national television performance. Wade and Jason will get and deserve another chance to coach because of the 13-3 ... MORE >
