Centenary's Chase Adams scored a game-high 23 points and Nick Stallings had a 14-point performance.

Centenary (2-11) started the game shooting 1-of-13 from the field. The Gents had one assist and four turnovers by the 11:44 mark in the first half. They did not score their second basket until a Stallings layup at 9:15 in the first half and went into halftime with 14 points.

Texas Tech also had trouble taking care of the ball, racking up 16 turnovers. Tech shot 46.3 percent from the field compared to Centenary's 33.3 percent.

Texas Tech took a 70-66 loss against Centenary last season in Shreveport, La. The Red Raiders were without former head coach Bob Knight in the second half of that game when he left because of an illness. The victory is the only one for the Gents in nine meetings between the two teams since 1954.
