Christmas in the Square

NBC 5 and Frisco Square, a master-planned lifestyle community in the heart of Frisco, invite you to Christmas in the Square, the biggest choreographed holiday light and music show in Texas, combined with family oriented holiday activities. Christmas in the Square starts November 28 at 5:00 p.m. and runs every night through New Year’s Eve until 10:00 p.m.

Over 450,000 people are expected to attend this spectacular event sponsored by the presenting sponsor, EDS Credit Union.

Jeff Trykoski’s “Illumimax” company will, once-again, design and operate the largest choreographed holiday lights and music show in Texas! More than 150,000 lights (that’s more than 11 miles of wiring and 8 miles of extension cords,) a canopy of lights above Coleman Blvd. that’s choreographed to the music, too and more than 200 lighted snow flakes (the lights are viewable from the street but also from most aircraft flying northeast of Dallas!)

Adventure Railroad, a new feature, is a FREE, street-legal train ride for kids around Simpson Plaza during the evenings on November 28, December 12, 13, 19 and 20.  “Leaping Lights” is a new lighting feature designed by Illumimax in which the lights will “leap” in 20-foot arcs down the median. Santa’s Gift Shop is MUCH bigger than last year! It’s a huge tent full of artisans and others with lots of holiday gift ideas for everyone. Operated by and on behalf of Frisco Family Services Center from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. December 12, 13, 19 and 20.  There are also many returning favorites and Parachuting Santa at 5:15 p.m. on opening day, November 28. Three are great Snow Machines on Friday and Saturday nights - Carriage Rides $6/person on November 28, December 12, 13, 19 and 20 - Balloon Elves on November 28, December 12, 13, 19 and 20 -- and of course, SANTA on November 28, December 12, 13, 19 and 20! There will also be tons of treats and even some surprises!
