Proceeds from the Bowling for Kids’ Sake Challenge benefit Captain Hope’s Kids. Since 1989, Captain Hope’s Kids has been meeting the critical needs of homeless children. A 2010 census of Dallas County's homeless showed that women and children made up 47% of the known homeless population. On any given night in North Texas, more than 1,100 children will fall asleep in homeless and domestic violence shelters.
