Join NBC 5 and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Fort Worth Chapter at the 3rd Annual CF Climb on Saturday, August 25, at the Chesapeake Energy Plaza in Downtown Fort Worth.
The CF Climb for Life is an exhilarating stair-climbing and fund raising event that supports the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Participants will have the option to climb 20 or 40 flights of stairs depending on their fitness level. This is a timed event, so whether you are climbing to compete or just to challenge yourself, you will be contributing to help find treatments and a cure for those who suffer from cystic fibrosis.
This unique event encourages friends and family to support the efforts of the national researchers that are working to find a cure for cystic fibrosis by building awareness and raising funds.
Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects 30,000 adults and children in the United States and 70,000 people worldwide. It causes debilitating lung infections that lead to premature death. More than 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of the CF gene. The Foundation funds more CF research than any other organization and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
