Serta International Mattress Company and the Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued a voluntary recall for more than 6,000 mattresses that could easily catch fire because they don't meet federal safety standards for fire protection.

The mattresses have a zipper cover over a foam core, and were sold in Twin, Full, Queen, King, and California King sizes.

The company sent letters to some consumers who may have purchased the mattresses, but have also set up a special Web site listing the serial numbers of the recalled mattresses.

Serta representitives reiterated that they have not received any reports of the mattresses catching fire, and that the recall is voluntary.

For a list of serial numbers, more information about the recall, or to contact Serta, click HERE.  Or, you can call the hotline 1-866-675-3853.
