Sara Story

Sara Story is a Fort Worth native and is thrilled to be back home covering North Texas news. She graduated from Aledo High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received a Bachelor of Journalism degree and a Spanish Language concentration.

Sara joined NBC 5 in January 2011 as a video journalist. Based in Denton, Sara shoots, writes and edits her own content. She previously worked as a video journalist at KLTV 7 News in Tyler, Texas. Her most memorable east Texas story was the church fires of 2010. This story gained national attention when two arsonists set ten east Texas churches on fire.

Before working at KLTV, Sara served as the bureau chief for ABC News on Campus at the University of Texas. She contributed content to various ABC platforms, including, World News Now and ABC News Now. She also appeared on KVUE Saturday Daybreak in Austin and interned for KTBC in Austin.

In her spare time, Sara enjoys spending time with her friends, family and pet cat. She loves the outdoors, traveling, reading, and cheering on the Longhorns. Sara would love to hear from you.
