Marc Fein anchors NBC 5 News at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. He joined NBC 5 in the fall of 2011.
Prior to joining NBC 5 Fein was a studio host and reporter for Turner Sports working on every one of their national sports properties. On NBATV, he hosted the NBA news show, The Beat, and the nightly highlight show, Gametime. Fein also did sideline reporting for the NBA Playoffs on TNT, and field reporting for TBS’ coverage of the MLB Playoffs. In addition, he was studio host for several years for NASCAR on TNT Live. He also served as a guest host on TNT’s Emmy-award winning "Inside the NBA" studio show. Fein was the exclusive host for three years on TBS's Atlanta Braves baseball studio show TBS Braves Xtra. He was the studio host for TBS’ coverage of Big 12 and PAC-10 college football in 2006.

Fein manned the Turner South studio for both the Atlanta Hawks (NBA) and the Atlanta Thrashers (NHL) during the 2005-06 season, as well as serving as sideline reporter during the network’s Atlanta Hawks coverage. He also provided play-by-play for three years for the PGA Championship on PGA.com, as well as for select Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Thrashers games.
Prior to beginning with Turner Sports, Fein worked as a sports anchor and reporter for KDFW-TV here in Dallas. His responsibilities included hosting a pregame show for both the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars. Aside from his weekday duties, Fein was also the co-host of the Dallas Cowboys pre-game show and Sports Sunday on FOX.
Before joining KDFW, Fein was an anchor and reporter for CNN’s national sports coverage on CNN and CNNSI. He also contributed a weekly column for CNNSI.com. Fein previously served as the play-by-play announcer for the St. Petersburg Cardinals minor league baseball and the University of Tampa basketball teams. From 1995-1999, Fein worked with WHVR-AM/WYCR in York, PA followed by WPMT-TV (FOX) in Harrisburg, PA where he was a sports anchor and reporter.
Fein graduated from the University of Miami in 1991. He received his bachelors degree in both broadcast journalism and theater. It was at the University of Miami where Fein broke into the industry by handling the play-by-play and color announcing for the Hurricanes baseball, football and basketball teams.
Fein served as President of the Board of Directors for the Hopewell Youth Association in suburban Atlanta and is excited about getting involved in the community here in North Texas.
Marc and his wife Nikki keep busy with their four children, Ben, Jake, Haley and Nicholas.
