Onlookers gather as Svetlana Pankratova, the woman with the "world's longest legs", poses for photos. She'll be shaving them for fun and profit on Thursday.
How often do you get to watch a woman shave her legs for charity?
Svetlana Pankratova -- whose legs, at four feet, four inches each, are the longest in the world -- will be at the Kiehl's store on Thursday, razor in hand. It's a publicity stint for the culty apothecary's Close Shaverettes Simply Mahvelous Legs Shave Cream, but it's also a clever fundraiser: For each of Svetlana's strokes, Kiehl's will donate $44 to the Lower Eastside Girls Club, the excellent non-profit opening up opportunities to the city's low-income girls.
Best part: Kiehl's is also holding a contest you can enter to guess how long -- down to the second -- it takes Svetlana to shave her towering pins. The closest guess wins a year's worth of shaving cream.
When: 3/5, 12PM-5PM. Shaving begins at 4PM.
Where: Kiehl's 1851 Flagship, 109 Third Ave. (at 13th St.)
