The Sulcata tortoise — later identified as 27-year-old Gordo — was returned to his home Monday morning.
Dallas Animal Services and Adoption Center officials searched for Gordo's owner after finding the tortoise on the street near the intersection of Ferguson Road and St. Francis Avenue.
Sulcata tortoises can live for more than 70 years and weigh up to 100 pounds.[[300660121,C]]
